Type of route: exploratory and naturalistic pack rafting. No particular difficulties, but you must follow your guide’s instructions in order to overcome the natural obstacles formed by the limestone concretions typical of the river.
Highlights: the Diborrato waterfall, where it is said that a tank fell in World War II, the typical limestone concretions, the lush vegetation, the crystal blue waters.

A route to discover the Elsa river Park  at Colle Val d’Elsa. The Elsa river has its source on the slopes of the Montagnola Senese, but the secret of this river is the supply of crystal clear springwaters at Le Vene and thermal waters at Le Caldane.

The route begins at the foot of the beautiful Diborrato waterfall and then continues running parallel to the Elsa path (Sentierelsa), just a few meters from the latter but completely immersed in another dimension.

The route leads us into a river corridor characterized by a dense vegetation reminding us more of an Amazonian forest rather than a local river. The packraft (small single-seater dinghy) is the perfect way to discover a waterway from the inside.

The participants need to move like a small group, ready to overcome the obstacles (limestone tanks of the Elsa), following the instructions of the guide, in order to correctly navigate through the river currents.
